Our client is one of the world leading companies today setting the course for the future in agricultural, specialty and industrial chemical development. We are looking for an exceptional leader to drive cross drive the overall vision and long-term business strategy for the North America business. .   
This critical leader will provide direction on brand management, segment strategies and product management. Also, as the Marketing Manager this individual will establish whether current programs are achieving desired goals and objectives and will drive expansion by championing the evaluation and development of new and acquired chemistries. Another area of oversight is the active involvement in the development and launch of strategic initiatives and communication plans leading to the identification of opportunities, improving working capital management, and eliminating non-value adding activities. The professional we seek will provide strategic guidance to management team in the development and assessment of marketing initiatives from a profitability perspective.

Responsibilities include:  
·        
  • Leading the marketing and brand communication initiatives of the North America crop business.
  • Responsible for CRM and customer interface site brand
  • Delivering strategic organization and prioritization of marketing initiatives.
  • Development  of annual budgets, forecasts and the monthly projection of profit, expense, risk and opportunities
  • Developing and reviewing marketing programs and assessing the impact on profitability
  • Developing and implementing communication plans for brand management
  • Driving market requirements into the product development process,
    Leading the development and implementation of business strategies which result in improved sales and profitability
  • Organizing and implement marketing plans with finance, sales, supply chain and assuring effective prioritization and execution of all initiatives
  • Directing analysis of markets and segments making successful and sound recommendations for product and customer positioning
  • Participating in identification and prioritization of targets for future development.
    Influencing decisions with alliances and collaboration partners leading to better cost/market positions
  • Interacting with service providers: advertising agencies; data base services providers
  • Choosing, developing and motivating staff to ensure department goals are achieved.
  • Providing guidance/direction to less experienced marketing and finance professionals. Education
  • Undergraduate degree in an agriculture related field MBA preferred
 
Qualifications:  
·       
  • Undergraduate degree in an agriculture related field MBA preferred
  • 5+ years marketing management experience plus considerable sales experience is also important
  • 5-10 years experience in agriculture related business including experience in evaluation and ROI analysis for development projects
  • Broad understanding of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides for use in all areas of agricultural application with global awareness
  • Understanding of generic AG competitive environment
  • Successful track record of initiating and integrating projects and developing and presenting ideas.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues simultaneously while paying close attention to details.
  • Basic understanding of customer and market research databases with emphasis in the analysis and use of the data
  • Ability to think and work in integrated teams with demonstrated ability to anticipate future trends and market opportunities
  • Financial/analytical skills, which includes: 1) NPV analysis; 2) break-even analysis; and income statement development and analysis
  • Effective people management skills and possessing strong leadership behaviors.
