Technical Consultant

We are seeking an IT “Customized Software Solutions” consultant for our HRIS division. You will:
· Provide technical solutions for client customizations that are identified during the implementation process, based on information received from the implementation team relative to a client’s business goals/challenges and the need for customizations.
· Work closely with Project Managers and Implementation Consultants to deliver technical solutions based on functional specifications provided by the implementation team.
· Write technical specification documents, in detail, that identify the technical details and solution to create specific functionality as requested by a functional specification.
· Interface with clients in all types of communication, including written, spoken, and face-to-face meetings regarding their customized HR solutions.
· Create technical solutions for HRIS/Payroll system based on technical specifications. Coordinates activities with other team members and client resources.
· Work with the implementation team and quality assurance resources to ensure appropriate testing occurs prior to delivery of customizations to the client.
· Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding customization requests, including NuView management, client management, implementation consultants, developers, quality assurance, and trainers.
· Ensures solutions are delivered without errors and on time, every time.
· Escalates issues to the appropriate Project Manager on a timely basis.
· Handles additional duties and special projects as assigned.
· Some travel may be required, less than 25%
Position requirements
· Minimum of 2 years work experience with computer software development in Human Resources Information Systems applications environment, and human resources.
· Experience in writing detailed technical specifications for product customizations.
· Experience in creating customizations for HRIS/Integrated payroll solutions.
· Experience in designing and executing testing plans for customizations.
· Prefer experience with the following: using HTML, Crystal, Visual Basic, Java, SQL, or other programming language is required. Knowledge of Oracle, PeopleSoft and SAP, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, Spectrum, Ultimate and/or Workday is advantageous.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to study problems from an in-depth perspective.
· Must be detailed-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
